It cannot be used with the charger connected so that is an important feature. I have had mine for some years now and its battery is still as strong as ever (Braun goods are brilliant in this regard). I selected version 7681 as this has the same features as mine. For the face I opted for tweezers for many years and now IPL once a month or so. I imagine this would not be the case for many others. One area for me, however, which was too sensitive was the face as I have very soft, fine skin. It is wonderful on legs, bikini lines, arms and u. It eliminates the rash of shaving and the dreadful burns that waxing and laser can cause. To me this is no worse than waxing and as you use i more often, no pain at all.
